Chilean Poetry In Translation

Poetry by 22 Chilean poets translated by Dave was published as a special issue of Road Apple Review (Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 1972).

Dave's translation of Nicanor Parra's Discursos de sobremesa as After-Dinner Declarations was published by Host Publications of Austin, Texas (2009).

Dave's translation of Enrique Lihn's Figuras de palabras as Figures of Speech was published by Host Publications of Austin,Texas, in 1998. A second, expanded edition was published in 2016.

Dave's translation of Oliver Welden's Perro del amor as Love Hound was published by Host Publications of Austin, Texas, in 2006. Winner of the Luis Tello National Poetry Award of the Society of Chilean Writers in 1970, Welden's book in translation won the New York Poetry Festival's book award for 2007.
